I want to thank Aine and her team for their outstanding catering service to our wedding in Tullynally Castle on August 28th 2017. My sister and wedding planner Thomasina recommended Aine from her initial meeting with her. She felt that Aine was very competent, enthusiastic and approachable from the get go. I must say that we both felt the same way from planning throughout the event and even the tidy up. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was important to us as there were many “foodies” attending and a large contingent of Italians who had travelled a long way for our wedding.
Many people are still commenting on the quality of the food. We went for a cold buffet with beef, salmon and pork loin. Many of Enzo’s family and friends asked about the pork loin and spoke about the tender beef. They were aware about the high quality of meat in Ireland but this had surpassed their expectations.
Another thing of note was the friendliness and smiles of the staff throughout. People have commentated about the staff coming to their table and encouraging them to have second helpings. Aine was cool and approachable at all times and for all our needs. She even asked us how we wanted the tables to be set.
As a result our wedding lunch was relaxed and very enjoyable. Thank you Aine from Breege and Enzo.

"We are so glad we chose Uisneach Catering for our intimate self-catered wedding. It all went perfectly and both the reception and dinner exceeded our expectations. Áine and her exquisitely professional staff were refreshingly helpful and friendly, while at all times maintaining very high standards of service, as you would find in a high-end restaurant. The food for both the buffet reception and the wedding dinner was absolutely divine. The menu, planned with Áine, was first class and didn’t fail to wow the guests at every turn.
Everything was perfectly cooked and presented, and all of our different guests (vegetarians, children) were very well catered for – the kids’ lasagne was such a treat!
The next day we had planned a lazy Saturday with the family and had asked Áine to deliver us some earthy food for dinner. Again, we couldn’t have made a better choice. Her food was so wholesome and delicious, it brightened up that wintery day!"

"Where do I start with her and her fantastically run catering business?
I was recommended Aine on the internet and was in touch a good 6 months in advance to the wedding. We wanted a vegetarian/vegan buffet with 1 dessert and because of our theme we wanted something rustic, personal, rural and different. We had a fusion wedding, Indian and Irish so we had to have good food to keep both groups happy as well as make sure non-vegetarians were happy. Aine's communication and ideas were faultless from the very start of the process. We met up numerous times and even had a tasting session to make sure we were pleased with our decisions! We changed around a lot and throughout Aine was patient and professional. She was up for trying new things and was open to any ideas. She was creative and just knew what we wanted. She went above and beyond her job and helped bring so many little things together on the wedding day. She recorded parts of Cookery programmes and kept books to show us ideas. She had staff make and serve a Prosecco cocktail (alcoholic and non), she made a delicious, eclectic and colourful buffet and to top it off she also made a rustic cheese tier cake with ivy, figs and grapes with crackers and relish.
Everybody was delighted with the catering and set up and this was one of the things we wanted our guests to be happy with. There wasn't much food left that's how well it went down!!
I can whole heartedly recommend Aine and her team (including sous chef Ger) for their amazing work, start to finish.

"We got married in July 2016 in Oldcastle, Co. Meath and our venue was at Loughcrew House.
We came across Aine’s catering company, Uisneach Catering, through word of mouth. Anyone who had worked with Aine, had such wonderful feedback about the service.
From the moment we contacted Aine about our wedding day, Aine made us feel comfortable and at ease that the day would go well. Like many other couples preparing for their wedding day, Chris and I had lots to prepare and it seemed a mountain of work that would never be ready in time! We had been living in Vancouver when we starting our wedding preparation and no matter what our question was, Aine was always approachable (even with time differences!).
When we had made it back to Ireland, Aine met with us and we talked through our ideal menu. Aine was so flexible with our tastes and our budget. She worked incredibly hard to provide a beautiful meal that every one of our guests commented on!
We had planned on preparing our own afternoon tea reception for our guests. Aine and her team helped us to make our DIY efforts looks fabulous! It was such a pleasure to arrive at the venue and to know that all of this was taken care of. At every stage of working with Aine, she brought wonderful and creative ideas.
We decided to have a buffet meal. I was very dubious about having a buffet, as I imagined lines of guests waiting for food. Aine’s team was so professional and each table was brought up individually to choose their mains and they loved the choice! Of course, it was no trouble for Aine to serve our grandmothers and the head table – such a lovely touch.
For our menu, we had a tomato, mozzarella and rocket salad to start. The starter was prepared perfectly and we both really love these ingredients! Aine sourced only the best quality ingredients for each dish and it really showed. For our mains we then had a choice of Aine’s beautiful take on an Irish classic, ham, cabbage and white sauce – it was unbelievably succulent, tasty and looked fantastic. Again, this is our favourite family meal and Aine did not disappoint. We also had a delicious beef casserole; however, we were too nervous to eat anything more! All of the guests, who chose the beef, really enjoyed the flavours and tenderness of the meat. A large proportion of our guests had special dietary requirements such as vegetarians and coeliac. We had a vegetarian option of lasagne and fabulous green salads, which I did manage to taste as a leftover the next day and it was so tasty! My mother, who is a vegetarian, said it was the best lasagne she has ever had. Often those with special dietary requirements get lost at weddings. Aine and her staff could quite easily have prepared our entire menu to meet these requirements – no job was too big for Aine. It was so reassuring knowing that our guests would enjoy their meals. Aine spent the weeks before our wedding in discussion with us about her food suppliers and what she was planning to do – that was really helpful, as we knew what was happening at every stage. The standard and quality of the meals provided by Aine and her staff were second to none.
My mother and aunt had made our wedding cake. Aine and her staff made sure that the cake looked amazing and even though we had forgotten a proper knife, Aine came to the rescue (as many times previous!) with a knife she had brought with her.
Aine and her staff then prepared the leftover meat and salads in to sandwiches for our midnight meal. Again, this was no trouble for Uisneach Catering.
Aine also helped us to source our cutlery, dishes and tableware for the wedding. At the time of our wedding at Loughcrew House, these items were not included. It was great to have Aine’s help with this aspect of wedding planning too! We did end up purchasing a fair amount of glasses and decent cloth napkins from Ikea to help make the tables look perfect. It is worth deciding if you want to rent or buy, as some items were the same price point.
We have never met a lady like Aine, she is truly wonderful and anyone who chooses to work with her and her catering company will be impressed with her professionalism, delicious food and wonderful serving staff. Chris and I will never forget Aine coming to speak with us on our wedding day and wishing us well. It felt as though we had known her for a very long time and she truly cared for us. We were both overwhelmed with her kindness and caring nature, something we will treasure forever. Enjoy working with Aine – I wish we could do it all over again!"

We live overseas which made the arrangement of our wedding in Ireland very difficult to organize. Aine made the process so much easier for us. She was incredibly generous with her time and incredibly flexible, as I was constantly revising the numbers, which certainly took the stress out of it for us! When we started planning the wedding we really weren’t sure what we wanted, and Aine helped us enormously by giving us a lot of ideas. She has had a lot of experience with weddings and was able to really tell us what worked and what didn’t. She was honest about all the ideas I had (some of them weren’t so great), which I was very grateful for. She also gave a lot of insight into what was cost-effective, and I always got the impression she was ‘on our side’, helping keep our wedding in budget.
Aine truly understood the venue. She not only shared her experience on the catering side, but also helped me work out what rooms were optimal for hosting our various events. She met the owners of the facilities and helped us plan so many parts of the wedding, not just the catering. Aine also selected a panel of exceptional staff. They were highly trained, professional, courteous, friendly, and inspired a lot of confidence. Our friends and family really liked the staff, and my husband and I found them treasures to work with. They paid particular attention to us. This attention to detail meant a lot, as without it I doubt we would have tasted very much.
We hired the location for a full week, and Aine catered a range of events of different sizes throughout the week. We started with a small family get-together for 25 people; Aine made us a lovely Beef Stroganoff…the night before the dinner she recalled that my husband didn’t like mushrooms (he had told her a year ago!) so she also made a wonderful creamy chicken-a-la-king for him. This is just one example of Aine’s incredible attention to detail. Before the wedding we had a buffet for 70 people and all our guests were raving about the food. Her staff added some lovely touches like decorating the tables with fresh flowers picked from the garden, and this flair added to the occasion. Aine excelled herself for the wedding itself, and night after, where she served a range of dishes (never repeating any) to 110 guests. I had a lot of vegetarian friends and she really made sure they had imaginative and varied dishes, which we appreciated a lot. Aine had suggested that we have a roast pig on a spit as a feature for our party the night after the wedding, and she arranged a wonderful local man to set it up for us. It was a big success and one of the more memorable evenings.
In addition to being caterer extraordinaire, Aine really excelled the night before the wedding. She popped out to check up on us, and found us in a state as my fiancé had picked up the wrong wedding attire from the For Hire shop. Aine offered to drive into town to pick up the correct wedding wear. She saved the day, which was really beyond the call of duty. She is a real treasure!"

"Our aim was to have an informal party for family and friends with none of the usual wedding ‘trimmings’. As we were very much on a budget but really wanted to put on a good spread, it was of the utmost importance that we found the right person to provide the catering for us. We absolutely couldn't have found a better lady for the job than Aine.
The level of Aine's expertise and professionalism was obvious from the first time that we met her. She presented us with so many menu options and ideas of how to make our menu cost effective and yet look and taste amazing. It is fair to say that the level of customer care and dedication to ensuring that we were happy was outstanding. I really felt that out of all the wedding organisation that had to be done, the food was something I really didn’t have to worry about.
On the day of the wedding, when we walked into the venue we were just blown away. It was beyond what we could have imagined. Aine had taken our ideas of how we would have liked the place to look and made it infinitely better. We had asked Aine to provide a cheese board for the end of the night, of course she went an extra mile for us and turned the cheese board into a cheese ‘wedding cake’ decorated with figs and grapes that looked and tasted utterly delicious. Also, instead of dessert, we had decided to have tea and cup-cakes, with the tables laid out as if it were afternoon tea. She really ‘got’ the feel and the style of wedding that we were going for, and made it look even better than we could possibly have conjured up. Guests were coming up to me all night saying how delicious they thought the food was! Not only was the food delicious, it was also plentiful. Possibly the best proof is that both Mammy and Mammy- in- Law are still talking about what a wonderful meal they had!
We could not recommend Aine more highly. On top of being an utter professional who’s on top of her game, she is also an incredibly lovely lady. She’s very warm and more than a pleasure to deal with"

"We availed of the services of Uisneach Catering, Loughnavalley, Mullingar, Co Westmeath for our daughter’s recent wedding. Aine and Ger of Uisneach Catering not only provided all the catering for the event which included a full dinner following the church rehearsal prior to the wedding but also negotiated the hire and erection of the marquee. Refreshments on the Big Day included all home-made produce i.e. soup, brown bread, sandwiches, canapés and a variety of finger food. There were approximately 250 people at the wedding and the rave reviews we received from our guests were testament to the professionalism and efficiency of Uisneach Catering. Once we initially decided to use Uisneach Catering, Aine and Ger took care of everything; we hadn’t to worry about anything and nothing was too much trouble for them no matter how whimsical our demands. We will certainly avail of their services in the future and wish them continued success."
